Thank you John! While I've read of doing this procedure several places, the video makes it seem so much easier. I'm pretty sure that if not on my first attempt that somewhere along the line I would have drilled into my truss rod without your tip to reinforce the process. Thanks again and keep em coming! |

John: Neat video ...! I do it some what similar but cut the heads off the brads and use them to drill their own holes. Never thought to glue the brads into the holes. Must try that next time. Tom |

I do the same thing but pull the 'pins' (I use the actual drill bits) as soon as the glue takes a set. I don't see any good reason to leave them in. |

Nice video, John, as usual. I did note that your hand blocked the view of you applying the glue to the brads. I've always been confused by the idea of leaving registration pins in place permanently. Would that make removing the fingerboard difficult should a repair be required sometime in the future? Not criticizing the technique, mind you. I'm just curious. |

I use drill bit's and pull after the clamps are one and everything as well. However if you wanted to leave a little stub of a pin left you could use the .0625 plastic side dot material left just proud of the neck surface. |
