After much striggle to get my binding to come out the way I want it- perfect- I am finally happy with this one. It is as close to perfect as I have ever gotten.

This one is my concert shape. It is a clairo walnut and englemann. The binding is indian rosewood. The top purfling is radial mahogany with black and white surrounding it. The back black/mahog/white- not radial. The rosette is macassar ebony. The sound port (which has not been final shaped) has a white and mahogany laminate.

Yep, that looks good! I wish I was happy with mine. Still have a bit of unevenness.

Do you mean you've fabricated your own bindings, or that you're happy with the execution of installing them? Either way, it looks great!

What did you do for glue up? I've noticed improvements in facility and end-results ever since I've switched over to CA. Tape everything in place, nice and tight, and then the CA. Of course, you need to seal the top with shellac first, as CA wil stain untreated soft woods...

That is looking pretty slick Chris [clap] Good on you for staying with it. It is not one of my favourite tasks. Once the box is closed all I can think about is putting strings on . I have yet to install purflings on any of my guitars for this reason .

Regards
Craig

CA in between the tape then after that dries take the tape off and CA again?
