These videos from the Newport Festival are still surfacing on YouTube. Here are two of Michael Chapdelaine playing some cool stuff on two of my guitars. I especially like his rendition of McCartney's "Yesterday" - really brings out the beauty of that melody - and his original piece, "Lullaby for Two". The larger guitar is my Allegheny model (a "small jumbo" named for the geological area I live in, the Allegheny Plateau), which has a 15 1/2" lower bout. B&S are palo escrito and the top is Lutz. The smaller guitar is my Headwaters model (the headwaters of both Buttermilk Creek and Six Mile Creek, two of the major creeks in the Ithaca area, flow from the hillside our property is on), the same guitar Paul Asbell was playing in the video of him that I recently posted. It has a bearclaw sitka top and ziricote back and sides. 14" lower bout. I hope you enjoy these videos, low-fi as they are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pfl9NC-mN0g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuMrPwlA ... re=related |

Todd, They sound and look beautiful! Watching someone play one of your own creations and drawing out its inner voice with such ease must make you feel very proud. Beautiful ... well done and congrats! Rick |
