Post subject:  Help installing Gotoh open back tuning machines

Uncle. It's not the first time I've installed these - but I can't remember how I did it on the others. I'm sure someone out there has a tried and true method. Tuning machines have a .25" post and .348 ferrules. I've drilled the holes and the ferrule countersunk holes - here's where I get stumped. These tuning machines have a very small, thin washer right up against the machine on the end of the post, which is a bit larger than .25" in diameter. How do you guys (and gals) account for this post? Drill a larger hole? Just press it in? Other? Thanks!

If I remember correctly I counter sink the back side slightly with a taper reamer.

Thanks, Woody - I think that's what I've done in the past... good to know I'm not alone.
