Anybody notice that Brock is offering to trade a lightly used 16-32 sander for a 10-20?!?!? Where was this deal when I was looking to upgrade from my 10-20? Wha! As far as I can tell, it's still there. If I didn't have a 10-20, I would offer 550, then Brock could buy a 10-20!!!!!!! I'm guessing it has a stand. Please don't get me in trouble. If u want it and don't have a classified subscription, splurge the 12 bucks and contact via that forum. |

On a 15A or 20A circuit? My 16/32 runs very close as well. If I take too big of a cut it pops my breaker as well. Over the years I have learned to finesse it. Some day I will get me one of those BIG sanders... ![]() |

Here we go again! The motor breaker wil pop if u overwork the sander. I'm guessing the true duty cycle of the motor is less than 100% outside of a very narrow typical usage band. I have seen that happen with my 10-20 (when I had it). But then, AIR, I was thicknessing hardwood back and side sets. Not the same usage as Brock is planning. |

I run a 16/32 on a un-airconditioned screened porch on a long extension cord from a 20 amp circuit. It can be mighty hot outside here in the Arizona summer and I have never had it pop a breaker. This weekend I ran it for 2 hours straight and it was over 100 degrees out, and it ran like the energizer rabbit. Either I am lucky, or there is something wrong with your machines. I do take just a hair off at a time. |

Mine will kick the breaker on the machine if I take too big of a bite but doesn't seem to be an issue if I take it easy. If it becomes a problem I will check out the issue and possibly install a new part with different characteristics. |

What cracks me up about this is as soon as this sells we will see another post in here about someone needing a thickness sander. |
