Herry -

I'm not an expert, so take my input for what it's worth. Others on the forum are far more experienced, and I'm sure you'll get some responses.

#1 and #4 - I don't know what this, either. Depending on whether the grain looks like a more fibrous mahogany, it might be Philippine Mahogany (Lauan). Not very clear on this.

#2 - for my money this does look like a type of Rosewood. Regardless, if it's hard and it taps well, looks like it might make a nice guitar for back and sides.

#3 - this looks like Honduran Mahogany to me.

My two cents.

Well, I'll venture a guess...

#1 looks like Poplar

#2 is Kingwood (Dalbergia Cearensis), a rosewood from Brazil, but not THE Brazilian Rosewood (Dalbergia Nigra).

#3 looks like Cherrywood

#4 has got me really stumped (pardon the pun)... but I'll guess... Hickory?

#1 definitely poplar - that greenish tint is a dead giveaway
#3 might be walnut

Identification of wood involves not only visual cues but feeling the texture, the weight of it, the smell of it and so forth.
No one can say with certainty what those woods are from those photos. I'm usually pretty good at wood identification and with most of those photos I wouldn't want to even venture a credible guess

Looks like the poster is from Indonesia, so while 2 and 4 look like cherry to me, They may in fact may be something very different since cherry would be an exotic imported wood in Indo.

#1 looks like Luan

which begs the question, where did this wood come from ?

Number 2 definitely looks like Indian Rosewood. There's a lot of it grown in Indonesia in plantations or as wind breaks for coffee plantations and is sold under the name Sonokeling.

Number 4 may be Meranti. We get quite a bit if it in Australia that is imported from your part of the world and is used for door and window framing.

It's really impossible to positively identify unless you get your hands on this wood. And then it'll still be an educated guess.

Hai friends thank you so much for your help to identification of my woods...
Bob... it's true the name of rosewood is sonokeling in indonesian, but no 4 I don't know but it is not Meranti (from Kalimantan/Borneo) because Meranti's color is reddish brown not greenish brown.
Meranti, Kamper and Kruing (all from Kalimantan) is used for door and window framing.
But no. 4 I really don't know because as I told you this wood I've resawed from the useless windows maybe hundred years old to be a window. I tried to resaw the window because I've read from eguitarplans to try it... hehehe... laughing6-hehe
Thank's...
