Hi guys
Just a quick simple question for you.
I have just finished a new Bouzouki. The action at the 12th is 2.5mm and I need to bring it down to 2mm. I compensated for this and made the saddle high so that I can bring it down.
I know there is an easy mathematical way of doing this but I just don't know what it is.
So the question is:

How much do I shave off the saddle to drop the action by .5mm at the 12th.

(Normally I just keep taking the saddle out and sand bit by bit untill I get it right but this isn't really an option as this Bouz has two strings per hole and is a complete nightmare to keep stringing up and down all the time)

Many thanks

Mat

Since the 12th fret is half of the length of the string you need to take twice as much off as you want to drop the action.
