Hi guys Just a quick simple question for you. I have just finished a new Bouzouki. The action at the 12th is 2.5mm and I need to bring it down to 2mm. I compensated for this and made the saddle high so that I can bring it down. I know there is an easy mathematical way of doing this but I just don't know what it is. So the question is: How much do I shave off the saddle to drop the action by .5mm at the 12th. (Normally I just keep taking the saddle out and sand bit by bit untill I get it right but this isn't really an option as this Bouz has two strings per hole and is a complete nightmare to keep stringing up and down all the time) Many thanks Mat |

Since the 12th fret is half of the length of the string you need to take twice as much off as you want to drop the action. |
