Finally! Sapele and Adirondack spruce parlor with ebony trim. Fretboard, rosette and bridge courtesy of LMI. All the rest courtesy of me :-)

There are innumerable cosmetic screwups, but I'm thrilled with the sound. It has a much fuller, rounder sound than the Larrivee parlor I've got, with a surprising amount of both bass and volume for a small guitar.

And before I hurt myself patting myself on the back, I'd just like to say thank you to everyone on the OLF. For your willingness to help and particularly your patience with newbie questions that you've heard countless times. This is a tremendous resource for a new builder and it made a huge difference to my progress.

And one last shout-out for Ervin Somogyi's books. I've been immersed in them since they came out and they have been a big help in understanding just how a guitar functions. I'd recommend them to anyone, new or experienced.

Now on to #2 and 3. An all-mahogany OM and a mahogany and bearclaw sitka OM.

Thanks again.

Steve

As long as they are green ... it can pass for flowers.

Fred

Hi Fred, here are a couple more. CU of the body, and a shot of the back. You can't see the gloss-a cinematographer I know refers to overcast days a "God's big soft-box." :-)

But it's french polished. My first attempt, and I was thrilled with the results generally, but I did come to understand how important initial prep is. Don't ask me how I know this :-) Notwithstanding the underlying issues (literally), the french polishing turned out fabulously. Again, I got a tremendous amount of useful info out of Somogyi's book.

And again, thanks to all the folks on the OLF who were here to help and answer stupid questions. I'm sure I'll be asking many more over time, but maybe I can get to a point where I'm actually providing some answers as well.

Thanks

Steve
