Just curious as to what you guys are using for Maple bridge plates? Quartered, Rift, flat sawn, Hard or soft Maple? Rico |

I've used hard maple, rift sawn. Also slant the grain so that the holes don't all end up on a grain line. I also like Honduran Rosewood and Padauk. Tom |

I use hard maple on my OM models mostly and rift is the best for avoiding splitting. I like rosewood on my dreads. |
