I'll post it here too. Google up wfret. It prints a fret scale that you can cut out and double stick tape to the fingerboard, then cut on the lines. Easy as pie. You do have to check to make sure it's right, but it also prints the measurements from nut to each fret and from fret to fret. I usually check the full length, and length to 12 with a ruler then check some intervals to make sure everything is right. Here are a couple of pictures. I cut the slots with one of Shane's slotting blades on my RA saw, but a hand saw and miter box would work fine. If you already have some of the standard fretting templates (or fretboards), you can check and see if omitting or adding (a) fret(s) at the nut end will get you 'close enough' to your desired scale. |

I've got a 24.75" template. That's 628.65mm. If that's close enough I'll be glad to slot one for you. |
