Here's one I recently finished.

It has Honduran Rosewood back and sides, Bear Claw Sitka Spruce top, Ebony finger board and bridge, Curly Maple Neck, Curly Maple bindings and end graph, brass fret board inlays, it's 25" scale, and it is finished with EM6000.

Here is what the guitar sounds like; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkJ9NJscKAk

Excellent work! She's a beauty and a singer [clap]
Love the "crispy" sound of Honduran rosewood on a dread. I've never encountered one in person, but from recordings it seems to sound even better than Brazilian.

That maple neck is gorgeous. Bigleaf? And did you put a light stain on it, or is it just that pretty on its own?

Thank you.
I'm not sure if the neck is big leaf or not, it was a piece just listed as Curly Maple I picked up from a hardwood supplier, actually the entire guitar is from the same hardwood supplier, except for the bindings and the Ebony. I picked up a chunk of Honduran for around $120 and resawed into 3 sets of backs and sides. The Bear claw Sitka was about 12' long and 2" thick, I resawed it into I don't know how may tops, lets just say I have a nice supply.
The only thing I put on the neck and body was a light coat of Z-poxy and the Em6000.

Great looking guitar, Mark. Really good sound - just like what I think a steel string should sound like. Wow! I liked your playing and selection for showing off the guitar too, as it projects the responsiveness of the instrument.

Considering what H. Rosewood costs, I would say that is quite a good deal. And what a lovely guitar! I love the rosewood especially.

Loving the sound of that guitar. This is why im learning to build, because I want to take home every great sounding guitar I hear.
It looks fantastic too.

Very nice guitar Mark!!! Honduran Rosewood makes a fantastic dread and IMHO is very similar to BRW in tone but without the hassles... Great job!!! [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [:Y:]

And I thought you only built electrics. Good show!
Those fret board markers are cool, are they a round tube in a square tube set in black epoxy?

Thanks for all the nice comments, much appreciated. This was my first time using Honduran Rosewood. I really liked working with it and it made for a nice guitar.

Steven that's it, a square brass tube with a round brass tube in the center. It is set in epoxy mixed with the sawdust from the Ebony fingerboard. I like the way it turned out.

Delightful!
So many interesting nuances as pointed out.
My faves are the markers and that incredible maple neck.
One item I noticed was how it appears you angled the slots in the nut towards the tuners.
I don't recall seeing this before - nice! (note to self....)
