I've never used the Microlux saw, but MicroMark tools are generally pretty good. Runout is going to be magnified by a bigger diameter blade. But it's pretty easy to measure it with a dial indicator. I don't see why you couldn't slot fretboards with one. It appears to have two miter slots, which you do need to keep your sled accurate. Are Inca machines being sold in the US since Garrett Wade stopped carrying them? |

Howard- Inca tools are no longer being made. The parent company decided they didn't want to be in the tool business. I have a tablesaw and a 10 1/4" jointer planer both great machines. I belong to an Inca forum where we try to help each other out with info and tracking down parts. Jesse Barrigan at Eagle tools has parts that he bought from Garrett Wade. He is pretty well stocked. ![]() |

I use a Ryobi 10" direct drive that I got from CL for $50; almost everything I use it for, I use a crosscut sled. There's a Freud 7-1/2" ultra-thin-kerf blade on it, which I think is the secret to using one of these small saws. |
