I have temporarily abandoned my planned application of KTM9 with a brush whilst I investigate what is required to apply KTM9 with a spraying rig. John, I've had a Fuji (which looks like one of your choices) for a long time and it should spray KTM just fine with the right tip. I spray nitro with it but have sprayed some of target coatings (water based) stuff in the past and it did alright. |

hey, i just watched the video on that gun, and a few things came to mind. for me the gun is too big. the tip looks like a pain to keep clean. i'm sure it would work fine though. how often are you going to use it? if you used it to do other types of finishing, and get paid for that, it would be worth shelling out the dough for it. do you have a compressor? i use a small rollaire compressor, and an old binks model 115 touch up gun which has served me well. not hvlp and a lot of overspray, but at 1 guitar a year, i don't care about that. |

Hi - Thanks - only have one to finish and another planned. I don't mind spending up to about $175.00 if it saves me time and effort. I am looking on ebay for second hand kit. |

A limitation to using professional spray guns is the output of your compressor. I have a smaller (2 hp) compressor so I purchased an AOM Asturo spray gun designed to work with low output compressors. It works great with everything from water-based finishes to oil-based paints with different tips of course. |
