I checked the archives and struck out. Does anyone have a jig that is adjustable for tapering? I am doing some FB's for guitars whose precise neck dimensions are fixed- at most I would have 1/64th" per side to play with, and ideally, 1/128th for 64th total. The FB's will be bound. If I am going to build a long-lasting and versatile jig, I'd like to shoot for adjustable. I'm having trouble visualizing a design in my mind- usually that does not happen.

All suggestions welcomed.mt

This is the one I use on the tablesaw. The T'saw fence is set jig width. The long jig fence is set to 22nd fret width. The upper tab (1st cut, slots up) is set to halfway between the nut width and 22nd fret width. The lower tab (2nd cut, slots down) is set to nut width. Works very well if you need a fully adjustable jig.

That's a good way to go. I believe Tony Karol described a similar jig a couple of years ago on this forum. It's how I've always done it and it works well.

I don't have a "standard" width or taper. There's no stop on mine. I just measure to position the board. Yes, once I got the ends swapped and had a board that was narrow at the body, and wide at the nut. eek eek eek
