I use a lot of Dental burs, I bring them home from work
RA stands for right angle, you don't want those, they only fit in certain handpieces we use.
FG is friction grip and go in the high speed handpiece that makes the noise everyone hates. You don't want those either,
too short a shank to grip in most anything you'd use in the shop.
The only dental burs that work are actually lab burs, they have a long shank and fit well with a specific Dremel
collet and other collets. Some of these are high quality carbon steel and can cut very clean lines. I've used them for inlay for 35 years and had good luck. I'm not sure I'd use any for routing binding channels etc. End cutting is fine but some of the
Dental burs can do a great job as well. Just not as easy to find...
