Post subject: | another guy another bandsaw question |
so i own a 1984 14" tru cut band saw. just recently it started vibrating like crazy to where it was unusable. so i figured the tires had never been replaced and when flipping the switch with the guard off i could see space between the tire and wheel where it was not in contact with the blade. these things were 3 inches longer than the replacement ones that i got for it so it needed it. anyway so my question now is my upper wheel seems loose to me. i have the bolt tightened up to the bearing and it spins freely. and the only thing on it are a height and tilt adjustment. so is the upper wheel held in securely with blade tension or am i missing something here... im not expecting anyone to own one of these machines but i was told the replacement parts for this Asian cast iron armed knockoff would come from delta. maybe a dumb question but my instruction manual say's nothing about this. |
