I generally like the natural sapwood streak you see on many guitars these days, but what if you don't want it natural say on a brw bridge blank. I've got a bunch of them & would like to stain it so it looks like the rest of the piece. When I look at brw sapwood, the grain looks different.
So, I'm thinking of using ngrs/anilines & start by dying some thin black lines & then filling in with brick orange. Any other ideas out there?
