Hi All
I recently submitted a guitar of mine to a woodworking exhibit at the fair here is San Diego. Well it won 2 awards. The first was a 2nd prize in the musical instrument category. (so what)

BUT!!!!!

The guitar also won 1st place for best finish across all categories, over 100 entries. This 1st place prize has a $500 certificate!!!! Well this award goes to our great friend Joe White for his stunning finish work.
I am honored to have Joe as a friend and as a great colleague. We all love his wonderful work.

Thanks Joe!!!! You deserve this honor!!!!

This was the guitar. A very cool cocobolo/curly cedar resonator

Andy deserves the credit here folks. Not only for building an attractive, high quality instrument but also for such integrity to even include me in the credits. I am blessed and honored to work with any of you. I have the best job in the world!!

Andy: Congrats...!!! Love that coco and all the pooch prints. I'm sure you must have dogs,show us some photos sometime. We have a Weimaraner here and love her to the tops. Would do a picture but am just about computer illiterate. Again ,nice job to you and Joe.

Its nice to see you both getting recognized for your stellar work. Still love your paw print sound ports (and the sound holes on this resonator) Andy, and you're my favorite finisher Joe. In fact, I think there is an Edwinson heading your way shortly [:Y:]

some of you may not know that the San Diego woodworking show is a major event, and attracts entries from around the US.

I have a guitar that was built by Steve Saville and finished by Joe and that finish is flawless.
I have also seen and played a few of Andy's guitars and they are beautiful instruments!
