What would you recommend to clean off Menzerna buffing compound if you needed to spray another topcoat of waterbased laquer? Bill |

To prep for a coat, or re coat of finish I use naptha, then mineral spirits, then vinegar, then a tack cloth. I don't know if all of these are safe for waterbased finishes. |

If there is any trace of Naptha left it will not let the waterbase adhere. mike |

In my mind (which is very large, but pretty much empty LOL) the mineral spirits will remove some oils naphtha won't, and the vinegar will remove any glue spots or residue. It's easier to prevent fisheyes than it is to fix them. |
