I have used a number of sets, and have not had that problem. I'm very fond of their machines. The newer ones with the Teflon bearings are smoother, too.

Filippo, your not alone.
I just received my first set with the same issue and figured it was just how they are made. I shrugged my shoulders. It's hard to complain at the price but it is something that a customer might find annoying. I am curious if it was a bad run of them I assumed they were all going to be like that.

I have about 4 sets of the new ones that I ordered direct from Rubner, and I'll check those to see if there is any issue. I did notice that they changed the rollers they were using. This could be creating the issue. I like the look of the new rollers, but have not used one of those sets yet.

Filippo,
I received my tuners in the last month. They are #150-150-EH-ma. These are the Teflon roller version.
most tuners, (if the rollers are not solid) have some sort of cross bushing to guide the string these are hollow so once the string goes into the roller it must be lined up with the exit hole or it will jam inside the roller. If it will help I will call Kent as well. Although annoying, I never thought of it as a defect. If it is, I would expect to exchange them. I have more on back order with him. Let me know if I can help. Thanks for your efforts.

Looks like the holes need to be fitted with brass tubing...
