I bought an englemann billet on ebay a couple of years ago ( and some bracewood) that I was very happy with. I haven't seen any sitka billets recently, but you might want to check from time to time.

Try Orca Island
Not sure about the spelling.
Go to www.luth.org & view the suppliers list.
Or give Shane at HighMountain a e-mail.
His wood is great!

Having lost money to John at Alaskan Tonewoods, I will advise anyone to stay clear.
Just google that company name and you will get a bunch of simliar stories. If you get good wood or even wood from that guy, it was an act of God and no intent of John's.

I don't use much sitka, but I have some from Brent Cole at Alaska Specialty Woods that is quite nice. I don't know if he sells billets, but you could ask him. Oh, and he is certainly a honest, stand-up guy!

Don at Grandpa's Workshop could more than likely help you as well. A great guy to deal with. http://www.grandpasworkshop.com/contact_us.htm

I bought 3 tops from Brent at Alaska specialty woods. He sure does seem to be a stand up guy but I'm new to this guitar building so what do I know. Just that he treated me right and called me to make sure i got what I needed.

Shane will be getting a bit of biz from me for the brace wood and a top or two just so I can see the difference in suppliers.
