John Mayes had advertised his older model Delta Dum Sander on the classifieds a couple of days ago. I went over and met him this morning and picked up the sander. He didn't charge me a dime for a sander that I know is still worth several hundred dollars, even thought it needs repaired. He even threw in some free sand paper. Had a nice visit. Checked out his shop. Played one of the guitars he just finished, I think he said it was a MJ-55 if I remember right, and I've got to tell you it was SWEEEETTT!!!! Fit and finish were suberb and the sound was incredible. He's good people in my book and if you ever need anything John, all you have to do is pick up the phone. |

Having spent time with John over the years, I am fortunate to call him friend. I keep hoping he will get here in Branson for some golf and trout fishing soon. |
