I am wondering about making a 12 string on a smaller body like a OOO or is it a bad idea.
What about the MJ design?

I'm getting VG results with GC size box, stout construction on the top and very heavy strings.

My last one was a 16" Small Jumbo, and it was a cannon. I left the top about 25% thicker than 'usual', and the braces 25% taller, so it was twice as stiff, but there was only 25% more mass to drive with twice the tension.

With all of the extra treble energy I tend to think that a larger and more 'bass balanced' box would be better, but then, that SJ was the smallest 12 I've ever made.

Brook Guitars over here in the UK make 12 strings on parlour sized instruments with great results.
