Post subject:  Baritone scales/strings/tensions

So, you who build baritones, the following questions: What scale do you favor? What's do you consider the optimum "home" tuning for that scale? What gauge strings do you recommend for it, and finally, if you know it, what approximate tension do the strings exert at that tuning?

27" scale tuned to "D". Tension depends on what gauge strings you install.

D tuning strikes me as 'merely' dropped; when someone says Baritone, I'm thinking A or B below standard low E, on a 28-29" scale, bottom strings about 0.070 or 0.080.

I just finished one
27.5" scale at the moment I just have mediums on it and tuned to B# (C)
Its a little soft like that and I am waiting on some d'addario baritone strings so I can fit them and take it down to B.
