Hello All, As I am near completion on another flamenco, I am planning my next woodworking project. A 66 Ramirez with Spruce top and ziricote B&S. Has anyone here used Ziricote for B&S on a classical, and if so, what were your impressions? If not Ziricote, my second choice is cocobolo or EIR. |

I've used it for steel string builds but never classical. I would not hesitate to do so though, the steel string guitar sounds just fine. |

Ziricote will be fine. Just work it down some to loose some of its weight. Try the 1951 Barbero plan by R.E.Brune available from the GAL It makes a incredible Flamenco guitar! Mike |

Just send me the ziricote and I'll mail you a nice EIR set!! ![]() ![]() Seriously, my classical teacher has a beautiful Connor cedar/ziricote classical. Of course, he could make most anything sound good, but it's an extremely nice guitar. http://www.connorguitars.com/ Cheers John |

I have built several ziricote classicals and love it to the point that my personal guitar has ziricote. It gives a very rich, complex sound. The majority of sets that I have are from Hibdon, and are well-quartered, not at all brittle, and bend like a charm. |

I took a class from an instructor who had a zircote guitar with cedar top. An 8 string and a classical to boot. It had great sound. Chuck |
