People have pretty much given up asking us to post sound clips.
There's only so much you can do with a Ludite.
However, I would like to make some small amends with these clips.
These were recorded at the Newport festival (Miami) where Kinloch Nelson was demo-ing our Blackheart Sassafras/Sitka FS model.
He did an amazing job, and as the concert went on, he and the guitar really warmed up.

There was a scheduling snafu that pushed us into an open lobby for this demo spot, and so the background noise is an issue. However, I think you can tune that out and get a sense of the guitar.
I don't know what sort of mic or even sound equipment was used.
This demo came about so hurriedly I had little else on my mind other than just getting there and listening.

So here Kinloch is, first playing (I believe) "Goodbye, Lonesome Blues"

Next up was a tune by Chuck Mangione, "The Land of Makebelieve"
Kinloch really laid into the guitar for this one, so keep that in mind. At the end of the set, he said this guitar really barks!

Thanks for listening/watching,

Steve

Hey Steve, it was great seeing you there.
How did you get those, did the show provide them?
Thanks, Jim

Thanks guys!

Evan, I'm so glad you came to the show. Getting to hang out with you was one of the highlights of the trip!

Jim, always a pleasure running into you as well. Those vids were hand-done by ourselves. Ryan brought his own video camera, and I brought a tripod, and Bob ran the whole contraption. I believe eventually that Newport/Miami will post their videos...at least on their site.

Bill, thank you. Much appreciated.

And try this one, kinda wild:

Sort of a rarity for a "fingerstyle" guitar, no?

OK, since this IS our fingerstyle model, perhaps a bit of something using more of the fingertips would be welcome?

Here is Peter Farber demo-ing the same guitar a day later:

I found the two players were both delightful to liste to, though their styles were quite different. Hope you enjoy!

"one of the highlights of the trip!"
I guess I need to bump it up a notch next time!
I want to be THE highlight! Oh well I will practice for
Healdsburg. You guys were great to be around.
Not bad Barbecue either.
Best, Evan

laughing6-hehe

Yeah, well, you had some stiff competition if you remember!
Work on those 10 things you play, demo the guitars at Healdsburg, and see if your ratings don't climb! :D

It was good barbecue, wasn't it?

Steve
