One of the things that I didn't plan properly when I built my shop was where to store my guitars and the other guitars that are here.
Some of you may remember that I use these Rockstands from Musician's Friend and have been using them for 6 year now:

I am pleased with the Rockstands in as much as in all of the years that I have used them guitars with nitro, FP, Cat Urethane, and Cat Poly have never reacted to the foam padding. So they work well, are inexpensive, won't damage my guitars but the problem that I have now is a lack of floor space. It also would be great to have my guitars stored in such a manner that my dog, Sony...., does not leave snot on them every time he wants to sniff them..... No jokes please....
So David Collins uses these in his shop and I just bought a bunch of them to use in my shop. These are manufactured by Hercules Stands (http://www.herculesstands.com) and appear to be well made, sturdy, innovative (the front paddles automatically close and lock the guitar in when any weight is placed on the hangers) and they were not very expensive. They do require just like any hanging system that you mount them correctly to your wall or where ever you plan on mounting them.

So I stopped at Lowes on the way home from the Ann Arbor shop yesterday and picked up some stuff to mount my new hangers with. Some lag bolts and some oak boards which will match my oak desk should do the trick.

Other than having to repaint my stinkin wall this morning because I missed a stud by 1/4".... the installation went fine....

If you use a cool product or method to store your guitars either out of the case or for case storage too please feel free to add your recommendations to this thread please?
