interesting Chris, but why do you veneer first, then bind it ??? I have only veneered one, but I bound it first then shaped the bevel, then veneered with the same material over the angled binding - this left a smooth transition and covered the joints in the binding.

Tony,
I want the top edge of the binding to be visable when looking at the top/back. I want the thickness of the binding to outline the body shape and be continuous just like on an unbeveled body. And I want the binding to appear to be the same height when viewed from the side. Getting the top part of the binding channel is easy enough. I just set my dremel to thickness depth of the channel and route on edge perpendicular to the side. As the bevel slopes back the top of the curve is formed. Huh? In other words I'm removing that plane of the side if that makes any sense. I'll try and explain it better in the follow up video. Perhaps you can see what I'm trying to explain by the pictures of the armrest. I'm thinking I might have been better off to go with 3/16" instead of 1/4" high binding. But it might look bettered balanced when the back binding is in.
I'm not sure what joints in the binding you are talking about?
