I strung up #7 the 12 fret 000 Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka Top, Herringbone and Curly Maple trim la week ago and finally got around to taking some pictures. It plays and sounds real good and everyone who has picked it has been impressed. Number 6 is getting the dovetail neck glued on tomorrow and the bridge Thursday, I should be picking a tune by the weekend.

Very pretty guitar. I am a big fan of smaller bodied guitars. I love how you finished #7 before #6 [clap] :D.

Fred....that is a very nice looking guitar!! What finish did you use?

The finish is Nitro Lacquer with shellac sealer over Z-poxy grain filler.

#7 passed 6 while the lacquer was curing they were built together and sprayed at the same time and both buffed together. I just decided I wanted the 12 fret 1st so the Bubinga wedge had to wait.

Great looking guitar Fred; 12 fretters with slot pegheads are my favorites!

Nice guitar, beautiful finish!

But, illusion, or something wrong with the soundhole?

Looks like it could be number 100 Fred. What a beauty. I've gotta try a slot head one day.

There is nothing wrong, though the camera angle makes it look like the back center seam look of center through the sound hole if that is what you are seeing.

That is a beauty, Fred. The bridge is a nice touch, too. I spent a couple of months trying to come up with a way to make nice, crisp lines on the pyramid parts, and never got to where you are. Nicely done.

Fred,
Nice looking guitar. I'd want that one ready to play ASAP as well.

Very nice Fred!

I love the slot head and the volute. What technique did you use for that volute. I haven't managed to figure that one out yet.

I can't take credit for the bridge it is a CNC cut one I purchased.

Very Nice!

That's beautiful rosewood with gorgeous earth tones Fred. Love what you’ve done with it.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I had the guitar out to the local Bluegrass club jam and it was holding its own with the Dreadnoughts, not bad for a 1 week old guitar. The best flat picker there played it for quite a while and it was nice to hear it ring out with a good picker.
The 6th guitar got its neck today and should be completed by Friday unless I get lazy.
