I'm an amateur and thinking of getting spray equipment. Does anyone have any experience or opinions, positive or otherwise of the Earlex Spray Station 5000? The intention may be to use with the smalller tip/needle 1.0mm. Its been getting some really good reviews (Google), especially as value for money. Sorry, topic should read HVLP, not HVLV of course ![]() |

I don't have any experience with the Earlex but it appears to be a good quality turbine sprayer made in England. Here's a link for it on SALE at Highland Woodworking and video there demonstrating the 5000. http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/earl ... ystem.aspx René |

Thanks Rene for replying. Those videos were actually my reason for considering the Earlex, as well as its cost. I suppose my question was really about HVLP systems in general for finishing guitars, but have now seen other posts about that. Also the maker's US site has a testimonial from a guitar maker for a cheaper model (3000?). I actually own a 3900, a lesser version which I have used once for "preserving" my workshop, so may start by getting a smaller needle for that and experimenting. The main problem now will be a sprayshop. Probably start with the really big one, Scottish weather allowing! |
