1. too much wood that I probably don't need
2. zero tools, which is what I originally intended to buy

this is a common theme for me lately.

Guitar Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) led me to this hobby as a solution in order to save money. HAHAHA.

Now I've got a bad case of Wood acquisition Syndrome (WAS)
and
Tool Acquisition Syndrome (TAS)
plus
My GAS is worse than ever because I sold several guitars.

But...I have acquired a nice stash of a wide variety of woods and I shouldn't have to buy any wood for a few years..... laughing6-hehe (Riiiiiiight) laughing6-hehe

Anyways I am most excited about the gorgeous sinker redwood top that I purchased to benefit the Gallagher family.

After I build some confidence and get some experience, and build a much lower end prototype or two, I'd like to use the sinker to build a fanned fret guitar. I think an angled bridge will look pretty cool and unique against the grain of the sinker, not at 90 degrees (which looks too boxy to me).

But that is my long term goal. More immediately I will be building out of some cheaper stuff. I acquired:
2 Sitka tops
1 Adirondack top
curly maple binding
Quilted Narra at an unbeatable price ($40)
Image
Figured Black Walnut
East Indian Mahogany ($25)
African Mahogany ($25)
4 Orphan sides for bindings
Sapele x 2 ($25 ea.)
EIR

Couldn't resist Sniggly's price reductions and I never expected to win the Narra for $40.00. I can't complain, I came out with some excellent deals and I was glad to help a good cause.

As tempting as it was I had to retain myself from buying any wood, spent too much lately.
I got some clamps, a circle cutter, a bridge clamp, and neck centering jig, all things I can put to good use.

Hope everyone else got some good stuff.

Chris has 3 sets of oak that desperately need to be re-homed. He wasn't feel much love for them obviously, considering what I paid for them. idunno I'm thinking that they will make sweet parlors or even a terz. Not sure yet. Need to think about trim and neck appointments. Not sure I want to use mahogany for the neck, thinking about something closer to home, like butternut or birch or even sycamore. With carbon inlet into the neck and fretboard, they should be plenty stiff.

Thanks Chris.
