I'm thinking of doing a cutaway on my next guitar and need inspiration. I did a quick search and didn't find much but I'm not that good at searching the arcives. Any type would be appreciated. |

f you don't get what you need here, just google "cutaway guitar image". Look around on the first page & you'll find "Images" somewhere. Click on that. I found hundreds to look at. Far more Venetian that Florentine, unfortunately. |

You mean, like, more than the 2600+ matches you get when you type "cutaway" in search? |

I think I got more like 26,000. Yes I was wanting to look at shapes because some I've seen don't look to good to me. I'll try the google way. Thanks |

Here's the standard OLF SJ, with cutaway, in Brazilian with the optional X-braced back. It's my first attempt but I really like it so far. |

Here are the three I have done so far. The florentine is much harder than the venetian. |

I am a big fan of Bruce Sexauer's cutaway, he modifies it a bit from just being a chunk taken out of the normal shape. I don't have a photo but you can see many examples on his website, http://www.sexauerluthier.com. |
