Post subject:  Crack in Coco set

Last week I was able to score this nice set of Coco. It wasn't until yesterday that I realized that the back has a 3 inch crack. What do the zoot experts have to say about this: Can I build with this set anyway? Can this crack be fixed? Perhaps some coco sawdust and thin CA will do the trick?

Thanks for the input... [:Y:]

John Hall did a video on how to fix a crack:

Hope that helps.

Hesh, I had exactly the same thing on my current build (Mad Rose). CA worked great - I'm finishing it now and you'd need a microscope to find it. I didn't use any dust, just pressure. Good luck! That's a nice set. If it doesn't work out for you (or Todd) you know what to do.

I watched John's video. What is the "activator" that he's spraying on the CA?

i have the same thing in my little cyano set. its just an accelerator for the glue to set. its pretty instant. i was using it yesterday in a cocobolo radial rosette i was doing. works wonders [:Y:]
