I'm in. Let's get those ponies run out of the barn, folks.Hank- Sam needs to aggressively get going on being "PayPal Verified" so security is assured. I have no doubts, but it may help less familiar people. mt (I encourage folks to use PP because the transactions will rise to the minimum for "verification.") |

I'm in. This is a great thing to do. And to all who don't think their contribution will matter. Every little bit helps. So even if you can't give a fortune, whatever you could give, plus whatever someone else could give, pluse whatever everyone else could give...it all adds up and really will help. |

If you send a check then PayPal won't take 3% or what ever it is as their cut. |

I think if you select "gift" under the "personal" tab, and if the funds are drawn from an existing Paypal balance or bank account (not credit card), then there is no fee taken out. At least that's how it used to work... |

I do not know what "source" the donors used for the funds, but we have received the gross contribution on all the payments. And a BIG Thank You to all who have helped and contributed for Kevin's benefit. Hank |

Hey guys, not really sure where Kevin lives, but I see a striking need... transportation. Is there anyway we can get a car to him? Yeah, I know, it adds additional costs... taxes, tags, insurance, and he may want nothing to do with any of that. But not having a car and getting back and forth to the hospital has got to be a serious PITA. I'm in the market for a car, and my 1998 Grand Marquise would be a very good example... Worth zero in the American market (they ship them overseas for resale). Yet, runs great and will prolly do so for quite a while. I can't part with it yet, but if I had my replacement, I would consider it. Anybody in a better position? Something we could all chip in on and help with? We could pay the tags, inspections (if required), and insurance if needed. So the question is, does anybody have an available beater that is reliable? Mike |

Post subject: | Update |
We have the initial consultation with the team at Fox Chase in Philly that will be treating Kevin on Thursday, April 1st. All member come very highly recommended and have been extremely helpful so far. With the four herniated discs that he suffered in our January 10th car accident, the pain has been more intense than would have been for Kevin so we're trying to get set on a pain management plan that will make things a little easier right now. Right now, they're looking at a spinal block on Tuesday to eliminate the disc pain, but Kev's determined to avoid it to allow the meds to do what they can during upcoming radiation or chemotherapy regimens. There are a few risks with the block that will just present their own set of troubles that can have lasting effects so he wants to stay focused and deal with the most pressing issues as they come without adding to the situation. With their evaluation saying that he is a candidate for surgery, Kevin immediately leaned toward the Fox Chase team in light of the seemingly hopeless view of the original Allentown team. We're looking at what could be several months of daily trips to Philly for treatment sessions so transportation is a major concern for us. With the loss of our vehicle in January leaving us stranded and then the medical issues that are here now with all of the co-payments, prescription costs and things connected keeping us stranded and Kev out of the shop for the most part, it's been impossible for us to get together the funds to make the purchase of another possible, this has become a major point of our focus. Event though friends and family have offered to help as much as possible, we know that it will quickly become a strain for most so we're really trying to figure this out now. I'm glad to hear that some of you are keeping an ear open for fresh updates and I'll most likely be the one to post them as often as I can. Sorry for the long note, but there's so much going on that it seems impossible to keep things short. Thanks and please feel free to contact us directly with any specific questions. Thanks for everything, Paula Gallagher ph 610-381-4041 email omegaguitars@hotmail.com |

Sam Middlebrook, who has headed up this effort, sent me an email this morning. Today he is sending funds back to Kevin and his family to purchase a car for the upcoming trips for treatment. And there is still some money left for other expenses. The lads from ANZLF have already raised over $600 that is to be sent to Sam this week. Sam also told me that there are still donation commitments on or after April 1...payday for lots of folks. Needless to say, the outpouring of support, both in prayers and finances, for Kevin and his family has been wonderful. To all those who have participated in either or both activities...Thank you and God Bless! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hank |

Mme. Gallagher...I am utterly sorry to hear of this awful time. I can't imagine how strong you are needing to be right now. |
