Todd, on something like that they'll rely heavily on the judgment of the tech in the field. Of course, to even talk to them, there needs to be proof of original ownership, and then, well, a certified tech center too. Your pics will be helpful, and useful to substantiate the claim.

If I were calling them, I'd say it was something they should fix.

They really don't like guitars sent back to their shop.
And I don't blame them.
But on an old Brazilian D-28 that needed a new top, I took a gob of pics, sent them to their repair staff, and they took the decision to have the guitar shipped back to the plant.
They're not difficult to deal with, and really do stand behind their product.
Surely there is an authorized repair center nearby that can contact Martin for this customer?
