Post subject:  "The 60" Finished - lots of pictures
Some of you may remember me posting about the L-00 I built for my father in law last summer. It was a family group project. You'll also remember that it wasn't finished (just a couple seal coats of shellac, no real finish on it).

Well, I've got it finished and I have to say that I'm 95% happy with the finish (are we ever 100% happy with our own finishes?). The finish is Target EMTech 6000. Hand buffed (got to get a buffer set up!)

My Wife is also advancing her photography skills quite nicely I must say and here are some pictures from yesterday that she took for me. Check out her website www.liannatrue.com for more of her work. I think she's pretty amazing 8-)

The rosette and body shape are what set this guitar apart for me. I love it.

What wood is the fretboard? At first I thought the curl was reflections, but it looks like dyed curly maple??

JJ, I sure enjoy having you as a friend :D pfft :D

Danny, thanks. There are a few micro scratches that I'm sure would come out if I had a power buffer and not had to buff by hand. That's the 5% :)

And the fretboard, bridge, binding tail wedge and headstock veneer are all Tasmanian Blackwood. The body is Cuban Mahogany (rosette too) with an Adi Spruce top. Neck is one piece Honduran Mahogany.

Beautiful guitar Rod. Love the rosette and the inlay on the fingerboard especially. Your wife's photography looks first class as well.
