I would be interested in those measurements too. I am looking at a cello-sized bass project next year. Sort of a sitdown-stand-up bass.

I'm building a couple of 34" scale, 4 string acoustic bass guitars. I realize there's some variation in dimension but was wondering if anyone had some reasonably standard dimensions for neck thickness at the 1st and 12th fret as well as nut width and neck width at the 12th fret? Thanks, Darrel |

go measure any Fender bass and use that .... also the SM catalog has thickness numbers, possibly widths as well, for their replacement necks .. |

I plan on building one and i'm useing 1&3/4" at the nut, 2 &1/8" at the 12th fret and about 2&3/8" at the 22nd fret.The scale is 34". |

Thanks Tony and Mark. I'll check out the Stew Mac site. Warmoth had some dimensions but not all. I am planning to use steel bars in the necks like Warmoth does. |
