I just recently finished #2 and Saturday evening I gave it to a close friend. He was thrilled and I was relieved he was thrilled.

Mid day Sunday I started feeling a little queasy. Monday I was shaky and a nervous wreck.

I just finished joining the top on #3 and feel much better..........this can't be a good sign.

You must IMMEDIATELY buy some tools or zoot or something to remedy this problem.

You are doing good so far by getting on the OLF. This will help some symptoms. Stay on, browse the forums and post until your tools or zoot arrives.

When you're not on the forum, keep working on #3 every chance you get. This will also help your symptoms.

You're not alone my friend. Many others have expereinced these same symptoms so it's good that you weren't afraid to come forward.

Good to know I'm not alone and there's a place to discuss it. Have fun making sawdust!

soon enough there will be dried glue stains on your favorite jeans and you will put off socializing for work shop time. Then some of your friends will surprise you with an intervention. I bet you keep telling yourself you can stop any time now too don't you? :)

My wife thinks I am very strange... when we visit friends or family I begin to lust after old Cuban Mahogany Antique Tables, My Mums Antique BRW tea Caddy has enough solid wood to make 8 Bridgeblanks... uhm... just assessing wood with a devious eye... ;)

I just convinced my wife that moving our 3 year old daughter from 2 days a week of daycare to 4 will help her get potty trained faster, and she bought it! Potty or not, it will get my guitar done faster, which is my priority. We will start the week after next so I can get the rest of the parts ordered.

This is my second, need to take a mulligan on the first, started it 17 years ago with a jigsaw and a chisel, finished it a few months ago, and now I need to redeem myself and make a guitar that I can take out in public. Yes I have been making excuses to miss out on social events, bought a bubble machine and finger paints for the shop so I can have my daughter happy in the shop, can't do too much with her there, but at least we are both happy in the shop.

I have also been looking over my non lutherie tools that I can sell and buy guitar shop stuff.

Thanks for the post, I feel better knowing that even alone in the shop, there is a family who understands.

My wife has been saying that I don't spend enough time with her or our son in the evenings. So when they want to watch a movie or something, I'll bring a dish and a guitar top or something upstairs, and chisel on it in the corner, while they watch tv or play a board game.

Hahahah yeah funny. I went to Costa Rica last year and the simple park benches or concrete forms that they had made up out of wood made me drool.

I always size up a good tree and estimate how many guitars I could get out of it :)
