I've got the 1/16" from Lee Valley. It's very little. It works great for getting the binding channel at the neck joint on a classical. I wouldn't want to try and do a lot more than that with it though. Mike |

LMI currently has a 2mm chisel roughly between 1/16 & 3/32" |

I have a Hirsch 2 mm chisel that I like a lot. It holds an edge well, and is great for things like cleaning out the bottom of the saddle slot. I use it a lot. Available at Highland Woodworking. HERE |

These are nothing that I would wanna be using much but for a quick swipe at a glue glob in a nut slot or to clean up a finish line under a bridge etc. I find these micro-chisels from Stew-Mac to be handy and nicely sized for a variety of small jobs. I have the Veritas detail chisels which include a 1/16" chisel. Great for detail work but I won't be hitting them with a mallet anytime soon. ![]() |

I have a set of Irwin chisels, one of which is about 2.3mm wide. |
