I will get better pics later. The sound is tremendous. Loud, bright, clear. I have it tuned in C Wahine which is very sympathetic to the the Stephen Bennett 6 sub-bass tuning. |

That looks lovely! Can't get the enlargements to work. ![]() Had to do a double take on the first photo though, looked like you had one slot square and t'other round. ![]() |

I will get better pics when my wife brings the camera home. Whats on the headplate? If you are asking about wood, the big one is bubinga, the slotted is sapele. If you are seeing some kind of artifact, I do not know. Yes, it was epic. Put it down for almost 6 months when I realized I had installed the top incorrectly. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise. YES! Right on Mike! Looking forward to bigger pictures too. Way to go! Now that this one is out of the way, you can start working on the 12/6 double neck double cutaway with Manzer wedge..... ![]() |

Beautiful work, congratulations on finally getting this baby done! It looks quite comfy to play, too. I'm jealous. But two boxes of tools for use on my first regular guitar arrived just now, so I'll be on to building harps soon enough ![]() You gotta give us some sound clips, man! And change that avatar! |

You guys are too kind. Pics coming after olympics. This was my second build ever and I could NOT have done it without your endless, patient help. The truth is out now. I got into this craft to build a harp guitar. I could not justify the 7-10K for a copy or original ( go Lindsey Vonn!) so I used much of that to buy tools to build one. I intend to build many more. |

So what I am trying to say is thank you for helping me make one of my dreams come true, and that was to own a harp guitar. ![]() |

I have sense of your passion having played one vintage harp guitar briefly and having just heard Stephen Bennett play his 1909 (1908?) harp guitar. They really make a very special sound with a fullness that cannot be replicated with six strings. I will put one on my list to build right after several other "fun to build and play" guitars. Has any one built one for nylon strings? |

Fred, the sound is amazing. Not sure how I lucked out. Prolly will wire it up after hearing it. |

Fantastic work Mike, I bet it is so rewarding to sit back and enjoy the sounds! Seeing your images (and avatar) reminded me of a favorite vid on youtube of Michael Hedges. |
