I use Duco or weldwood. CA will work but I don't use CA near the top. IT can yellow some spruces . This won't show up for a while but it can happen. On the back is fine. Also Mahogany and Walnut is porous and can glaze from CA and show the glue line. |

John is right about the yellowing that can happen with some CA and spruce. I seal the binding channels on the top with de-waxed shellac before gluing the bindings on. |
