![]() Can't resist blatantly showing off my latest zoot score... A no-sapwood, straight grain, dread sized set of Camatillo rosewood (that, as legend has it, was set aside by Chris at LMI when they got their first shipment of Camatillo). Okay can somebody tell this newbie where "Zoot" came from or why it's slang for wood? |

Back in the early days of the OLF (circa 2004) when there were just a handful of us, Bob Cefalu (RC Tonewoods) would regularly entice us with some of the prettiest, highly-figured back and side sets. At the time, I believe it was one of the Kinnaird Brothers who referred to the figure as "Zoot"...presumably because of the bling and pomp of the Zoot Suits that the K-Bros often wore in their shops ![]() |

Thanks for the info, I was sure I was missing some tech term. I assume that Bob is the Zootman on eBay? |
