I'd use it quartered as possible for bridges and boards and I'd think it would bend better on the quarter for binding with the grain running vertical like in braces. At least that's my guess.

Is Snakewood ok for: 1. Fretboards, bridges, bindings etc 2. The grain direction is hard to see on it. Is it ok flat sawn for any these applications? Thanks |

Mark... you can use it for alot of purposes. Just remember, flat sawn shows off the figure and it is hard enough to used either way. |

I'm finishing up a build now with snakewood bindings. Bent five pieces (just in case) and had no problems. Ron |
