Post subject:  Repair '93 Taylor Bolt On Neck

I was doing a partial refret on a '93 Taylor Dreadnought and I noticed a rattling sound in the neck block. Then I pressed against the Taylor label and I could feel a springing action. Is this normal? I don't want to take the label off if I don't have to but is there a way to do it so that I won't destroy the label? The neck feels solid so I'm confused. The action on the guitar was very low BTW. Any advice would be helpful.

I'm guessing that one of the bolts is loose. I've removed labels by heating a little with a hair dryer. Just be careful not to tear it.

Ken, If you do end up destroying the label I have some. Just take a photo first so I can make sure the ones I have are the same.
