Not so sure I want everything I buy including my food coated in glass. And since it's silicone, won't that cause a great deal of problems with many finishes? |

That does sound really cool. Sounds like it should work on a guitar. Ultra thin, flexible and breathable material, be interesting to see where this process ends up over time. Then, of course, there will be the cost. |

They say that one spray lasts a year. I wonder if that is directed towards using it on household surfaces to aid in cleaning, and because you're wiping the surface constantly it only lasts a year or if it only lasts a year in general....... Very interesting though....only time will tell. |

This coating is already being used to extend the life of coated optical mirrors for telescopes and prevent premature oxidisation. |

Well, it looks interesting, but it seemed to me that the article was a bit "over the top" with claims of long lasting clean surfaces, etc. And that stores would not want it because they make huge profits on cleaners. So I am skeptical. One other thing, it would seem to me that this would be very bad for your lungs! And then to consume it after it is sprayed on plants? There is something fishy here. Mike |
