Filippo, I did a tutorial a while back for a "slitter" that should work.

I have used double-stick tape to attatch it to the straight edge of a 1/4" strip of plywood and then rip it to size on the table saw. Obviously you need to sandwich it with something on top to keep it from splintering. It is wasteful but can work in a pinch. I like your method better...

Hopefully this is not too annoying, as it doesn't help the immediate situation, but Bob C sells 6 x 36 sheets of this for very little. Cutting strips off of that large sheet as needed with a straight edge and razor blade is much easier.

You could sandwich it between 2 thin boards and run them through the sander on their sides to trim it down that way but your blade slitter looks like a good way to go.

Great solution! I might have to try that as well!

Looks good Filippo. I bought a bundle of different colors from Shane a while back, and haven't used any of it because it is too wide.
