I have a General International 13" sander # 15-155M1 . The paper that comes with it is a sheet 3.25 wide x 81.5 long cut as a parallelogram, that side being (15.75" as measured on the 81.5" length Because of the way it clamps to the drum, 5" diameter x 13.75 long, That angle is critical. I can buy 3" paper easier than 3.25 but that changes the angle & overall length. Can anyone tell me what those numbers are? Mike McNerney |

Hi Mike, I presume this is a drum sander? If you look at it that the area covered will be the same. then the other side of the new parallelogram can be worked out. The short side of the parallelogarm does not change (diameter of the drum) Area of a parallelogram = height X width (same as a rectangle) This means the change in length would be in the ratio of the change in widths. I believe this works out to 3.25/3.00 X 81.5" = 88.2197" Make sense? |
