I was wondering if anyone was familiar with Black & White Ebony? Has anyone used this as a tone wood? |

I have used B & W ebony before. To date it has been my favorite guitar. It is my personal L-OO It was easy to work with. The one memorable feature is that that raw wood had a funky smell. Especially when sanding. Acoustically it is a great sounding guitar, but personally I feel that most of the tone is because of the lightly braced, thin Lutz top from Shane. I think the Kinnaird Guitar might have been from the same tree!!! I got my set from the Zootman a few years back. Here are a few picts of it. ![]() ![]() |
