I'm beginning my first build soon. I'm trying to find rosewood B&S in europe. I found some cedar and spruce from my local lumberyards for the top. I also found maple for back and sides but I would prefer using rosewood. Does eny1 know rosewood supplier in Europe? Or should I just use maple for B&S? I'm also looking for supplier who has slotted ebony fingerboards available. |

All of the above, really. Madinter and Maderas Barber have some of the best pricing on EIR, but it's not going to be ready to build with in most cases; count on at least half a year of stickered drying before use, but for building up a stash they're perfectly fine. Riwoods (Rivolta, in Italy) has drier stock and a massive pile of spruce. I hear a lot of good things about espen.de, they have a broad selection of rosewoods for good prices. Might be worth a look. |
