I can't believe I have finished 19 guitars. What fun I'm having! This one is red western cedar on Pomeli Sapele. It features a Laskin inspired radiused arm rest and a cross sound port designed by Tim McKnight. (Thank you Tim and Grit!) Mac ebony binding/arm rest, Pomeli Sapele radial purfling, MOP leafs and dove with olive branch by Andy DePaul, all on a 24.9" scale a deep bodied OM. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very nice Steve!!! That Sapele looks killer under finish. I am finishing up #19 right now and it's also a Sapele guitar so your timing was perfect for giving me a preview of how Sapele looks under finish. Beautiful work bro - congrats!!! |

Woooooooo-eeeeeeee that's some seriously beautiful Sapele and a knockout of a guitar !! Excellent attention to detail throughout. The carving on the bridge is a nice touch as well as the Laskin armrest. The matching radial purfling always helps to highlight the B&S woods. The pop of the Pomelle figure really catches the eye. What a great instrument ![]() Keep up the great work! |

I thought you were ahead of me in number built. FYI - This finish was with black pore filler. It darkened it up nicely. |

Steve, A beautiful guitar, and great execution on the build ![]() ![]() Using the black pore filler really popped the grain detail of the wood. I'm gonna have to try that... |

That bridge is a lot of work. What bubinga? ![]() GregG wrote: ....Hey, are you gluing on your bridges with CA glue these days? Thought I heard that somewhere? When I had Joe doing my finish I did that on a few. I trust the Cat poly that he uses and his process to hold. No issues yet. |

That is just gorgeous. The shot of the back looks so deep it reminds me of those posters that used to be at the mall that you stand there and stare cross-eyed at until you see a jet appear. Very nice. Darrin |
